NEW Funding to Support Leadership and Management Training

We are now able to access Learning and Skills Council (LSC) further funding to support the training and development of Directors and senior managers operating within your organisation.

The key features of this offer are:

• Up to £1000 available for development of Directors and Senior Management

 1. Up to £500.00 for the owner/senior manager/key director without contribution from the employer

2. A further £500.00 for the senior management team, including the original recipient, providing the employer matches the contribution.

So you could have £1500.00 worth of training for just a £500.00 contribution

• All organisations with between 5 and 249 people are eligible for this funding  
• Training can be in any subject area that will help the Director/Manager develop in their role. It could be

§  Short courses

§  1:1 coaching

§  Guided Learning

§  Formal qualifications (or contributing units)

§  Group training 

How it works:

In conjunction with a qualified Specialist Adviser the employer will examine the key areas of responsibility and targets for the manager(s) concerned.

Then identify key areas in which increased skills or knowledge would have a positive impact.

The training options (and providers) available can then be identified and the most suitable course of action with regard to objectives, timeframes and cost can be agreed and incorporated into a personal development plan.

Businesses which have already been supported through the previous Leadership & Management Opportunity are ineligible.

Eligibility Summarised. To be eligible for funding the applicant must:

• Be a CEO/Managing Director/Director/Senior manager or lead a charity, voluntary or not for profit organisation.
• Be working in an organisation employing between 5 – 249 staff or volunteers based in the East of England
  (Beds, Cambs, Essex, Herts, Norfolk, Suffolk).
• Not have had any previous training funded by this Leadership and management scheme since October 2007.
